The family line of doing right in the eyes of the Lord misses a few generations and then extends from David to his great, great grandson Asa,
Asa became king over Judah and did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, as did his father (great, great grandfather) David.

What do you make of this chapter? What do you think of my summary? How would you summarise it?

I summarised all 1,189 chapters of the Bible on Twitter - one tweet per chapter, one chapter per day for over three years.

These are the summaries of the book of 1 Kings.

They are written to help you understand and remember what's going on in the chapter, but they're no substitute for reading the Bible for yourself.
